Julia Fox is now gay

After years of celibacy and swearing off men, Julia Fox has officially come out as a lesbian! 💃

On Monday (July 8), the actress, author and musician stitched a TikTok video from content creator and comedian Gracin that said, “I love it when I see a lesbian with their boyfriend. It’s like, aw, you hate that man; you literally hate him. Those girls that are so mean to their boyfriends, and it’s like, baby, you’re just a lesbian.” The video spoke to Fox, who then recorded her own video in response, confessing, “That was me. I was that lesbian. Sorry boys, it won’t happen again.”

The video was flooded with comments from other lesbians celebrating her announcement: “Love you, Julia. We’re so happy to have you!” one commentator wrote. Gracin, who made the original video, responded to Fox’s video in shock: “Did I just facilitate Julia Fox coming out?”

Fox has been open about her desire to no longer date men and abstain from sex for years now. After having numerous negative experiences with patriarchal men and the overturning of Roe V Wade in 2022, Fox decided to go celibate. “I just think nothing good comes from having sex, including children. No, I’m just kidding,” the actress remarked on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in May. “I think with the overturning of Roe v Wade and our rights being stripped away from us, this is a way that I can take back control. And it just sucks that it has to be that way, but I just don’t feel comfortable until things change.”

In another interview with Ziwe from 2022, Fox alluded to her queerness, telling the 32-year-old comedian that she had a “gay bone” that she “wanted to explore”. In that same discussion, she also remarked, “Maybe my ex-boyfriends weren’t wrong when they were calling me a lesbian and complaining that I never wanted to have sex with them.” 

While many assumed that Fox’s desire to swear off men was temporary, she wants everyone to know that it’s permanent. So sorry, boys!
