For me, it’s a camera roll full of blurry, disjointed moments that seemed really important to capture at the time, but make little sense now. When this question was put to our international community of Dazed Clubbers, however, it prompted a diverse range of images lucidly spotlighting youth culture in their local environment. From Ophelie Odumlami’s images depicting a rich creative community in Cote D’Ivoire to Billie Huang’s documenting of St. Louis’ bustling electronic music scene, we showcase ten Dazed Clubbers whose photos encapsulate their experiences of 2024. MOLLY BONIFACE Molly Boniface12 Imagesview more + Molly Boniface is a Yorkshire-raised, London-based photographer with a love for shooting portraits. “The work I submitted celebrates friendship. A lot of the photos are from events that my friends have created – comedy nights, northern soul DJ sets, short film fundraisers. It’s really exciting watching and capturing their creativity. Alongside those photos, there are snippets of domestic downtime. I have been particularly fascinated with artistic representations of domestic mundanity this year, so it was only right that some of these moments were included. 2024 was the year I finished my master’s degree, marking the end of a long time in the education system. It was a year of evolution, creativity and figuring out my identity in a new context.” BILLIE HUANG Billie Huang13 Imagesview more + Billie Huang is a photographer and printmaker living in Columbia, Missouri, who also organises electronic events in St. Louis. “Over this past year, I’ve been organising and attending electronic events in St Louis. The Midwest is often overlooked but is home to unique queer communities and thriving electronic scenes. Most of these photos were taken at Materia, a monthly warehouse party in STL. I spent the year going to local shows with my camera. A few years ago I had no clue any of this existed in Missouri. I would watch Boiler Room and Keep Hush sets alone in my room and dream of parties like that. Today, I am lucky to be part of such a cool scene here in the Midwest. 2024 was a year that challenged me. It was my first year out of college and I often felt lost. It was a year of yearning, confusion, and not knowing what I wanted. I’m still figuring it out, but this year was me playing it by ear and embracing uncertainty.” CHARLOTTE LESTER Charlotte Lester8 Imagesview more + Charlotte Lester is a London-based creative designer using photography and videography to explore themes of connection and everyday beauty. “My work transforms quiet, reflective moments into compelling visual narratives. These photographs capture genuine moments of life, exploring the relationship between subjects and their environments. They reflect the themes of adventure and quiet introspection that defined this year. 2024 was a year of embracing stillness and discovery, offering opportunities for personal and creative growth. It encouraged me to slow down, embrace new perspectives, and find inspiration in fleeting unnoticed moments of life.” HAYAT NABBOUH Hayat Nabbouh8 Imagesview more + Hayat Nabbouh is a Lebanese multidisciplinary artist currently based in Dubai. They work with photography, video, installation, and free verse to examine the solitary, coexisting narratives that emerge from social structures and identities. “I will sum 2024 up with something I wrote before: I went with the birds / They have wings / and I need a new heart.” KAYLAENA JALINE DE VERA Kaylaena Jaline de Vera11 Imagesview more +Life & CultureTrump’s nightmarish executive orders, explained Kaylaena Jaline de Vera is a SoCal-based creative director and photographer from the San Gabriel Valley. “As much as I love working and putting my all into my passion for the arts, I also prioritise my love to live life to the fullest – because darling, you only live once. My 2024 has opened so many doors from being a ‘hot girl in the jacuzzi’ for a music video, ‘cunt’ nights at Boardner’s in Hollywood, and endless days on set for photoshoots. This year has meant so much for my growth as not only a woman, but a woman creative in this male-dominated world. From experiencing heartbreak to finding love within the beautiful people around me, this year had its fair share of ups and downs. But it has given me the strength and space to love deeper than ever.” ADAM CLARKE Adam Clarke8 Imagesview more + Adam Clarke is a queer photographer based in Northern Ireland focussing on fashion and portraiture. “My submission reflected my 2024, including moments with family, my first time in a photography studio, travelling with friends and exploring nature. My goal for 2024 was to get outside of my comfort zone, to do things I didn’t think I could do. Looking back as the year ends, 2024 was about truly living. My submission reflects this, consisting of moments I once thought impossible. In order to grow we have to step outside of what we know. This is something I have spent the year doing and will continue to do in 2025.” ALEXIA DE LAS HERAS Alexia de las Heras9 Imagesview more + Alexia de las Heras is a multimedia creative director based in Spain with a passion for documenting unusual events and her social circle. “These photos reflect some of my favourite memories of the year, whether that’s an unexpectedly fun house party (or two) or an exciting collaboration with like-minded creatives. 2024 has been the year of serendipity. Cute friend meetings via random anonymous texts (long story), a job in fashion through a street interview, and the occasional accidental epiphany. What a year.” ANNIE LIAN Annie Lian9 Imagesview more + Annie Lian is a New York-based creative with a passion for fashion, art, food and travel. “These photos are a collection of the highlights of my year – whether it’s working on a creative project, spending time with my friends, celebrating a special occasion, or documenting myself out and about! 2024 has been a mix of excitement, adventure, meaningful connections and creative exploration. From travelling, collaborating and pursuing my passions alongside the people I admire, it’s been a fun and inspiring journey.” OPHELIE ODUMLAMI Ophelie Odumlami12 Imagesview more + Ophelie-Audrey Odumlami is a freelance press agent, model scout, and stylist that is deeply passionate about fashion, art, culture, and architecture. The photos I submitted reflect a year of rediscovering life’s fundamentals – capturing raw, unfiltered moments of beauty in the world. 2024 was a year of ups and downs, reminding me to never let go. As long as you have the breath of life, you never give up on your dreams and passions. While some loves and friendships faded, others blossomed. It’s been a year of grounding and cherishing life’s simplicity.” PETER MATLOWA Peter Matlowa9 Imagesview more + Peter Matlowa is a 25 year old skateboarder and photographer from Johannesburg, South Africa. “The photos I submitted were taken throughout the year after I managed to purchase my first medium format camera, which I’ve longed to own for so many years. Finally getting the camera was a good enough excuse to start photographing more of what I got up to in an interesting way and grow my skill set in a sense. In 2024, I came to the realisation that nothing happens by accident and, by putting in the work and trusting and trying to really enjoy the process, you will yield interesting outcomes.”
